The challenge

Edinburgh was hosting the design festival and IKEA were a main sponsor. They wanted to focus on 6 design classics from their collection and required a visual identity for each that was original and flexible enough to brand the event and be used across all media.

The solution

Dynamic compositions and strong colours were the name of the game – isolating these furniture items and showing them in a way that was fresh and creative. The art directed photographs were used on postcards, invitations, programmes and festival literature.
